Shredded Beet Cleanse

March 6, 2017 By Susan M. Brooks

Time to spring into spring with a spring in your step, a song in your heart, and vibrant health! Want a simple cleansing tonic that is a natural detox and takes only five minutes to prepare? Beet Tonic is beneficial for blood pressure, strengthens digestion, is anti-inflammatory, scrubs the intestinal villae, and thins the bile.

Ingredients

  • 1 raw peeled beet
  • ½ lemon or lime
  • 1 tsp stoneground mustard
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger root and/or turmeric root
  • 1 tsp raw organic honey

Preparation

Peel and grate one raw beet, using a food processor or hand grater. Stir in remaining ingredients. Store in refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Eat 1-2 raw grated beets a day with meals. Delicious in salads or as a stand alone.
